General information
Caja de Ahorros de Valencia, Castellón y Alicante, Bancaja, with registered
office in Castellón, at Calle Caballeros, nº 2, is a credit institution of a
foundational nature with a social and charitable orientation. It is subject to
the oversight of the Bank and Spain and falls under the aegis of the Autonomous
Government of Valencia. Set up on a permanent basis, it is a member of the
Valencian Federation of Savings Banks and the Spanish Confederation of Savings
Banks. It is registered in the Castellón Companies Registry in volume 532, book
99 of the general section, page CS-2749, in the Special Government Registry of
the Bank of Spain under number 49 and in the Valencian Community Savings Bank
Registry under number 4.
Caja de Ahorros de Valencia, Castellón y Alicante, Bancaja, is governed by its
statutes as adapted to the revised text of the Savings Bank Act, passed by
Legislative Decree 1/1997 of 23rd July of the Government of Valencia, and its
implementing rules, and as authorised by resolution of the Valencian Institute
of Finance on 8th October 1997.
